In general, the water chemistry sensors that have been developed at the Department of Biology at Aarhus University and are all based on electrochemical detection and will be further developed here.

Development of optical sensors are included in the activities of the centre. Sensors based on molecular recognition that might have potential for trace concentration xenobiotic analysis are being developed in collaboration the Interdisciplinary Nano Science Center of Aarhus University.
