Requirements and apply

Participants

The course is open of a maximum of 50 participants and welcomes AU students, applicants from the industry and other national and international applicants according to the course admission requirements.

If there are more than 50 applicants, participants will be selected based on the organizer‘s judgement of course relevance for the individual applicant.

All applicants must upload a one-page motivated application and CV during the application process.

ECTS

The Advanced Water Cycle Management Course will provide 5 ECTS subject to passing the exam.

How to apply

If you want to apply for the Advanced Water Cycle Management Course, you need to apply through AU Summer University.

2. Upload all relevant documents to your profile including; CV, your one-page motivated application and any other relevant documents eg: transcript of records, documentation for relevant English language qualifications etc.

Admission requirements

The course welcomes all interested with a minimum of the following degrees:

  • Bachelor in biological or chemical engineering, or similar
  • Bachelor in bioscience
  • Bachelor in geoscience
  • Bachelor in agroecology
  • Bachelor of Technology Management
  • Bachelor of engineering or Bachelor student (diplomingeniør) (4.-7. Semester)

If relevant the selection committee can choose to make an exemption from the above criteria.

Industry applicants as well as national and international students from different universities are highly welcomed.

Language Requirements

The Advanced Water Cycle Management Course is provided by the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering under the Faculty of Technical Sciences at Aarhus University. 

All applicants are required to have English language qualifications comparable to CEFR C1, TOEFL IBT 83, IELTS 6.5. English language qualifications can be documented as follows: TOEFL testIELTS (academic) test, "C1 level" obtained by examination from a CEFR-validated English language course.

The following applicants can be exempted from this rule:

  • Applicants who have completed an entrance examination ("high school") or Bachelor's programme where the language of instruction was English
  • Applicants currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s programme where the language of instruction is English
  • Applicants who have completed a Danish/Nordic entrance examination (high school) or International Baccalaureate (high school) with an English level comparable to a Danish B level in English.

Fees

The course fee includes food and accomodation at Låsby Kro.

Please note that accommodation at Låsby Kro is mandatory for all course participants.

The fee includes accomodation in a shared room. A few single room might be available on request and at additional cost.
